Bike the Chicago Lakefront Bike Trail
(Ride from the Totem Pole at Waveland and the Lakefront Trail to Hyde Park)


Date:  Saturday August 31, 2025
Cost:  Beverages\Snacks
Meet at 8:45 am and promptly depart at 9:00 am fromthe Totem Pole at Waveland and the Lakefront Trail.  Ride to Hyde Park to experience the Lakefront trail.  Enjoy nothing but spectacular views & great LPSC company.  We will make two stops: first at Promontory Point, to take in the breath taking view and then at Stan's Donuts, 5225 Harper Ct. (Hyde Park).  There we can enjoy a cup of coffee and some delicious donuts.  Ride length will be as you prefer, 18-20 miles.


All participants must abide by the LPSC Cycling Policies

NOTE:
If you need Bike prep assistance/maintenance help, then contact bike coordinator and arrive 30 minutes early.   Proper tire pump pressure and seat height can vastly improve the ease and speed of your ride.  TIP: Poorly inflated tires is the most common hindrance to easy riding, so get them pumped up the day prior, don't wait.  Your tire pressure is printed right on the tire.  Skinny- 95 lbs. min., Cross and Mountain- 65 lbs. min.  "Hard as a rock.. “

If you're unsure of any meeting location, then please call the bike coordinator and leave extra time so not to make everybody wait.
