Cross Country Skiing at Sagawau

Place: Sagawau Canyon Nature Preserve 
Cost:  Ski rental

Description:  

Join us for a fun cross country ski outing at Sagawau Canyon Nature Preserve (part of the Cook County Forest Preserve).  They offer various trails to ski on and they rent skis too! (If this outing is cancelled for any reason like lack of snow, hazardous road conditions etc... Then it will be rescheduled to Saturday, February 13th.)

Due to Covid 19 Ski Rental reservations are required. Spots are limited.  If you need to rent skis then reservations should be made on Sunday as each week's reservations are posted on Sunday.  A link will be available if there is enough snow to ski upon.  Details for rentals can be found at the following link:  Ski Rental Details

If you own your own skis then reservations are not required.  However, the following procedures need to be adhered to:
 - One must obtain a free trail pass at the greeting location at the lower level of the Nordic Center.
 - The building is open for restrooms only—masks are required to enter the building and use the restrooms.
 -  No gear storage, changing or food/beverages allowed in the building.  (Lockers will not be available)

 - All personal gear must be left in one's vehicle. Skiers with their own equipment must change shoes/ski boots in their own vehicle.
